Why we exist

Most businesses don't have a technology problem. They have a specific, awkward, well-understood operational problem that no off-the-shelf product quite solves — and a stack of spreadsheets and workarounds standing in for the system they should have.

PsalmTech was founded to take on exactly that work: the line-of-business systems, compliance engines and integrations that sit at the centre of how an organisation actually runs. The kind of project where the requirements are real, the data matters, and getting it wrong has consequences beyond a missed sprint.

We stay deliberately small. You deal with the people doing the work, decisions get made in one conversation rather than three, and nobody is billing you for a layer of account management between you and the engineer.

The founder

PsalmTech was founded by Munyaradzi Bright Mabhiza, who has spent eighteen years building enterprise systems across Southern Africa — in public sector, financial services and education environments where the reporting is regulated and the data is sensitive. That background shapes how we work: scope written down before code is written, decisions documented, and systems built so that the next person can maintain them.

Where we work

We're based in Durban and work on-site across KwaZulu-Natal, remotely throughout South Africa, and on delivery engagements in Namibia and Zimbabwe. Cross-border work isn't a line on a capability statement for us — it's where a meaningful share of the portfolio has been delivered, including national public health infrastructure.
